Real estate development principal lists for $1.599M

William N. Herman has listed for sale a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 1509 Swann St. N.W. in Cardozo/Shaw for $1.599 million.

Herman paid $1.475 million for the property in June 2008. The 2,108-square-foot house was built in 1886 in the U Street Historic District. Ellen Abrams of Evers & Co. Real Estate Inc. is the listing agent for the property.

Herman is principal and president at Urban Realty Advisers LLC.

He previously was a principal at Concord Partners, and senior project manager with Kaempfer Co. and Boston Properties.

He received a bachelor's degree in architecture from Cornell University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 81 home sales in Cardozo/Shaw during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $556,000.
